The 2249/2001 government resolution empowers the Minister of Education to establish a national inquiry system, which is based on electronic periodicals and databases, and strengthens the professional background of Hungarian R&D activities. This inquiry system is called EISZ.
The goal of the national EISZ-program is to purchase the electronic information sources that are indispensable for the higher education and the scientific research programs centralized, with a national license. It allows more users to access the data for a lower price.
